Money Where Your Mouth Is: Shadows Force

Posted By on Thu, Jan 24, 2008 at 4:29 PM

Once a week, C-Notes turns the keyboard over to a band and lets its designated representative explain why you should spend some time with them this weekend. This week: Erie classic-rockers Shadows Force. Band: Shadows Force Web: Hometown: Erie Sounds like: “A great blend of hard and heavy southern and classic rock that will have you shaking your ass and coming back for more.” Recommend for fans of: “Recommend for fans of: The heavy hitters such as Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath and AC/DC plus the best of the big-hair bands of the 80's such as Poison, Def Leppard and Kiss. We also blend a bit of the Southern rock flavor in the tradition of such greats as Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special and Molly Hatchet.” Fun fact: “While opening up for the Lynyrd Skynyrd/.38 Special/Blue Oyster Cult tour back in 2004, our set got stopped early by an unexpected rain storm where a lightning bolt blew out the main power transformer. And while everyone was distraught about not finishing the set, being called by many fans as ‘the most electric band’ at the show was really cool!” Playing Where/When: 9:30 p.m. Friday, January 25th at Cebar’s Euclid Tavern, 595 E. 185th St. Euclid/Madison, 216-481-9509. No cover. Why you need to see them: ”Looking for the best rock n roll party of the weekend? Then look no further! Shadows Force provides a mind-blowing, high-energy extravaganza that will leave you coming back for more with a full concert PA and lighting system! In the interest of pure fun, you may never know what to expect at a Shadows Force show!” -- Shawn "The Shadow" Brinker
