Obama’s speechwriter: Something to make the debate more interesting

According to leading scientists, he's way hotter than Howard Wolfson
You may have heard that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to debate at Cleveland State in a couple weeks. This is exciting for a number of reasons. It puts Cleveland in the national spotlight, just before the Ohio primary, allowing us to influence the course of an historic presidential election, and witness an unprecedented match-up between a female candidate and an African-American candidate and blah blah blah… More important is that Obama’s head speechwriter might be there. Have you seen this guy? Jon Favreau, a mere 26-year-old, is in charge of putting those golden phrases on Obama’s lips. And if cuffs and cashmere sweaters are you thing, he’s your man. According to a recent New York Times profile, Favreau is gloriously single. “The rigors of this campaign have prevented any sort of serious relationship,” he told the Times. Right. Certainly it has nothing to do with the fact that every new city allows him to try out the pick-up line, “Guess who my boss is?” In the interest of fairness, we tried to find an equally hot member of Clinton’s campaign, for comparison’s sake. No dice. Howard Wolfson, her communications chief, just doesn’t do it for us. But that’s why we live in a democracy. You decide, folks. – Lisa Rab
