Party to oust the gay godfather, Alex Arshinkoff

Have a beer and help oust the Master of Malevolence, Alex Arshinkoff
Thanks to the battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, local Dems have their next two weeks so chocked full of rallies and speaking engagements that they actually appear to have happening social lives – if fish fries with politicos is your thing. But not so for the GOP. With John McCain in command, local Republicans have been sorely ignored. No Elks Lodge spaghetti dinners with Huckabee. No Third Reich receptions for McCain at the airport. Just another frozen Jenny Craig dinner in front of FOX News… Feeling the pain of his party, Senator Kevin Coughlin has announced his own rally for Monday, February 24. But it has nothing to do with getting McCain or Huckabee into the White House. It’s about ousting one of their favorite fundraisers, Alex Arshinkoff, from the Summit County GOP chairmanship. Still, a party’s a party right? The festivities will commence at 6 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge on Akron Peninsula Road. There’s even a drawing for OSU football tickets. Lonely Republicans can RSVP by calling 330-940-3260 or emailing [email protected] – Denise Grollmus
