To support Obama, Arcade Fire members to play free Beachland show Monday

This just in: Arcade Fire members Win Butler, Will Butler, Regine Chassagne, and Jeremy Gara will play a free show at the Beachland Ballroom on Monday. The show starts at 7 p.m. and is a first-come, first-serve deal. The quartet (which makes up about 3 percent of Arcade Fire’s total membership) is performing the concert as support for Barack Obama (apparently, Ohioans vote on Tuesday). They’re also playing a free show at Nelsonville’s Stuart’s Opera House on Sunday. And before you start bitching about Arcade Fire being, you know, Canadian, the Butlers were born and raised in the U.S. And since the band skipped Cleveland the last time they toured, this is your chance to see at least the core group in concert. Plus, you can’t beat the price. Just be sure to get there early. -- Michael Gallucci
