Motley Crue to play Blossom; tickets on sale Saturday

Posted By on Thu, Apr 17, 2008 at 9:46 AM

Motley Crue's Crue Fest tour hits Blossom Music Center Wednesday, August 20. Opening acts are Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt, and Crue bassist Nikki Sixx's Sixx: A.M. project. Yeah, we hear you -- we're bigger Crue fans than your average guy, but we thought their career was over, too. Then 2005's arena tour was bigger than the most hopeful boosters could have predicted, and bam, here were are, it's time for "Girls Girls Girls" again. ... Unlike that tour, this one will be in support of a new album. Saints of Los Angeles is slated for a June 17th release. In the tour's press release, Sixx says, ”There’s not a lot Motley Crue hasn’t done so to say this summer’s festival is going to be about rock ‘n roll excess is an understatement. A night of hit songs by great bands and a trail of panties coast to coast... Crüe Fest, hell yeah!” Hell yeah indeed. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, so set your alarms people. Four-pack lawn tickets are $99; the rest range from $29.50 to $95, via LiveNation.com or Ticketmaster; call 216-241-5555 or 330-945-9400. -- D.X. Ferris
