From time to time, C-Notes shuts its collective yap and lets an artist explain why you need to see her. This time: One-woman band Miss Firecracker. Band: Miss Firecracker One-Woman Band Web: MySpace.com/ MissFireCrackermusic Hometown: “Cleveland” Sounds like: “Minnie Pearl meets Mrs. Robinson after a few too many Vodka Gimlets.” For fans of: “Irreverant, bawdy music, kazoos, and songs that would make mama blush.” Fun fact: “Kazoo was once a brand name of underwear. Now it's something you play at Miss Firecracker shows” Playing Where/When: Saturday, April 26. Quiet Bob's Bar, 4629 W. 130th, Lakewood. Why you need to see her: “Miss Firecracker One-Woman band is only the beginning of the night. The REAL fun happens with Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival.” -- Miss Firecracker, drums, guitar, triangle, kazoo, vocals. She also has been known to play with affections as well.
