Farmer’s Market returns to Kamm’s Corners

kamms%20corner.jpg Beginning Sunday June 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the producers-only Farmer’s Market returns to Kamm’s Corners, with live music from local trio, Brand New Hat, a cooking demo from Johnny Mango chef-owner Gary Richmond, and a free perennial plant exchange. ... Settled into the muni parking lot on the corner of W. 168th St. and Lorain Avenue, the seasonal Sunday market offers a full range of straight-from-the-source products, including honey, bread, eggs, cheese, produce, and meats, now through Oct. 19. For a helpful chart of what’s in season, click here. Earthy types won’t want to miss the Grand Opening Festivities, either, scheduled for Sunday June 22. Among the special attractions, find an 11:30 a.m. performance by Irish step dancer Patrick Campbell (co-owner of nearby P.J. McIntyre’s Irish Pub, from whence, we suspect, you just might hear the after-market pints a’calling); along with a 12:30 p.m. cooking demo from Matt Spinner, of Great Lakes Brewing Company.
