Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers saw a motor home make some lane violations on the Ohio Turnpike last week and pulled it over. Nothing to see here. Normal traffic stop.

Then the drug-sniffing dog started giving hints. Then the officers noticed some things that roused their suspicion. When they got inside, they found out why: 238 pounds of hydroponic pot. That's $1.2 million worth. Quite a score for the boys from Lucas County. (238 pounds is a score? Right? We're not up on the poundage required to make a pot seizure just big or really big.)

Explanation as to why your dealer might have been running low last weekend after the jump.

The driver of the vehicle, Richard H. Weaver, 34, of Elmsford, N.Y., and two passengers, David A. Valentini, 33, of Naples, Fla., and Robert P. Weaver, 26, of Toms River, N.J., were all charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both second-degree felonies.

Troopers stopped a 2007 Gulfstream 28-foot motor home, with Pennsylvania registration, for a marked lanes violation on the Ohio Turnpike near milepost 57 at approximately 1 p.m. yesterday. Troopers observed criminal indicators and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 238 pounds of hydroponic marijuana.

The suspects were incarcerated in the Lucas County Jail. If convicted, they could each face up to 16 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
