Ohio had 89,053 foreclosure filings in 2009, a record, and the 14th year in a row that foreclosures eclipsed the previous year's mark.

If data released by the Ohio Supreme Court is any indication, 2010 will be another banner year for barren buildings. The first quarter of this year saw 24,711 new foreclosure findings, which was... surprise... a record.

Cuyahoga County led the way according to an AP report.

Data collected by the Ohio Supreme Court shows that the number of new foreclosure cases hit another record in the first three months of the year.

Common pleas courts in Ohio reported 24,711 new foreclosure case filings from January through March, nine percent more than the same period last year.

Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, had the highest number of new case filings, with 3,722.
