Raleigh Trammell, Dayton Minister, Ringleader of Sick Sex Circus

Not someone you want to hang out with.
  • Not someone you want to hang out with.

Morning all. After a refreshing long weekend, here’s a gross dispatch from the underbelly of American society to get your week off right! Seriously though, we put up a lot of stories here on the decadent and depraved, but this next one really seems like a signpost on the short road to the apocalypse. So read on if you dare . . .

Google a bit and you’ll see that plenty of news-ink and pixels have been devoted to Raleigh Trammell, a former bigwig at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He's currently at the center of an FBI probe, but the latest allegations aimed his way are some next-level trouble, reading like a manuscript for a porn movie penned by a frat house. According to a fat 30-page lawsuit filed by Damisha Douglas against Trammell, the minister has been leading a far from holy life — allegedly sexually assaulting underage girls, paying for sex, and running ongoing sexscapades from his pulpit perch.

In her lawsuit, Douglas says her nightmare with Trammell began when she was 13 and walked into the SCLC only to find Trammell having sex with her mother, who had been assigned to the SCLC for community service. At 14, she was shipped off to live with Trammell for the summer; she caught him masturbating outside her door while she got ready for the day.

This is starting to get gross to write about, so we’ll just quote from the suit for a stretch.

When plaintiff was sixteen, her mother approached her and told her the family was having money problems. She explained to plaintiff that defendant Trammell would give them money if she agreed to have sex with him. After first refusing, plaintiff reluctantly agreed. She had sex with defendant Trammell as a sixteen year old minor.

We’re not done yet. In from stage left comes alleged sleezequeen Harriet Boykin, a Trammell groupie who began making advances at the teenage Douglas; the lawsuit says she would perform oral sex on the minister while the girl watched, telling Douglas she didn’t know what she was missing.

Alright, we’ll let the Courthouse News Service take the next few scenes:

Douglas says that a few months later, after Boykin returned to work for IMA and SCLC, "The plaintiff was approached again by Ms. Boykin and told that defendant Trammell would pay them to have sex. The plaintiff first declined, but agreed to participate on a limited basis when offered one thousand dollars.

The plaintiff accompanied defendant Trammell and Ms. Boykin to Ms. Boykin's residence. "The plaintiff allowed Ms. Boykin to perform oral sex on her while defendant Trammell watched and masturbated. Ms. Boykin then performed oral sex on defendant Trammell and plaintiff made a video recording of it. This was one of several sexual encounters videotaped by or for defendant Trammell."

The suit says Trammell made tons of amateur videos of Douglas and others performing sex acts, including an encounter between the defendant and a mother-daughter combo. Douglas claims that when she finally reported the abuse, the minister retaliated against her by cutting off pay and defaming her in public.

We’re going to go take a shower now.
