Monday Just Got Better — New Girl Talk Album Is Available for Free

Posted By on Mon, Nov 15, 2010 at 10:08 AM

We're not really looking forward to the holidays. Tons of shopping, cramming in too much work, and traveling across the state to visit relatives we really don't like isn't our idea of a good time. But right after the holidays — like, right around the time our New Year's Eve hangover will finally start to go away — Girl Talk is coming to town for a show. And that makes everything better.

The party-startin' DJ — known to the IRS as Gregg Gillis — is playing House of Blues on January 5. Yes, it's a Wednesday. Yes, it will sell out. And yes, it's going to be an awesome show.

But if you can't wait another six weeks or so for your Girl Talk fix, you can grab his new album, All Day, here.

It's the former Case Western Reserve University student's fifth album, and like its terrific predecessors, it's loaded with samples — 373 of them to be specific. And it's great.

The 71-minute mix should get you through your Monday. Play "spot the sample" with your coworkers and see who wins. —Michael Gallucci
