Suspect "Too Drunk" for Sobriety Test

Officer, Im way too drunk to be doing this.
  • "Officer, I'm way too drunk to be doing this."

Things not to admit to a cop after he approaches you for possibly being inebriated and causing a one-car accident: That you're too drunk to take a field sobriety test.

From the Lorain Morning Journal:

When asked to submit to a field sobriety test, a 35-year-old Elyria man then told police, “I’m too drunk. I can’t do that,” according to an Elyria police report.

Officers reported they went to the intersection of West Ridge Road and Fowl Road on a call of a single-car accident and found Corey Jackson and his 27-year-old passenger intoxicated. After refusing to submit to a test, Jackson was taken back to the Elyria police station, where officers also learned he had a warrant for unpaid fines.
