Akron-Canton Airport Hits Record Numbers

If you're never flown out of the Akron-Canton Airport, you really don't know what you're missing. No lines, no hassle, cheap parking, convenient access, close to Cleveland, and did we mention no lines? It's really the traveler's best friend, especially when you factor in the cheap airfare you can get flying out of Akron instead of Hopkins.

It seems the secret is out.

Akron-Canton is set to hit a passenger record this year.

According to the Independent:

With three weeks still remaining in 2010, Akron-Canton Airport officials expect to break the airport’s single year passenger record today when its passenger count reaches 1,470,000. The old record, set in 2008, was 1,469,000.

The airport is celebrating with a customer appreciation day with free coffee, cookies, chair massages and bag tags for every for every traveler.
