Don King Stopped at Airport for Having Gun Ammo in His Luggage

What? Im not allowed to bring this on the plane?
  • "What? I'm not allowed to bring this on the plane?"

Don King, in town for his late wife's funeral, was on his way out of Cleveland via Cleveland Hopkins Airport yesterday.

The perfectly coifed promoter's plans hit a snag though when TSA stopped him for having items in his carry-on luggage that are clearly not allowed on a plane. No, we're not talking about an improperly sized bottle of shampoo or a lighter.

The AP explains:

Hopkins Airport spokeswoman Jacqueline Mayo says the 79-year-old King was stopped by members of the Transportation Safety Administration on Sunday night. She says King had ammunition for .38-caliber and .357-caliber firearms in his bag.

Mayo says the ammunition was taken and that King was released to continue his trip, she believes to Florida. She said she didn't know if King received a citation.

Normally we'd make a joke here, but King just lost his wife, so we'll settle for posting that awesome picture of King about to shoot something with a very big gun.
