File this under: things we're allowed to find rockingly hilarious because no one was injured.

According to the PD and the AP, a 200-pound chandelier in a courtroom at the federal courthouse came crashing down last week. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Sadly, no one was around to witness the destruction.

The accident means staff are now checking on 40 similar chandeliers around the building to make sure this doesn't happen again.

From Ohio.com:

U.S. District Judge James Gwin's courtroom was unoccupied when the chandelier fell last week, so no one was hurt. It came down on a table in front of the jury box where prosecution staffers tend to work.

The judge calls what happened "pretty worrisome."

A regional official with the federal General Services Administration tells The Plain Dealer it's not clear why the fixture's mount failed. As a precaution, workers are replacing the harnesses on the courthouse's other pendulum-style chandeliers.
