Pic of the Day: Cold Storage Building Coming Down

It's the beginning of the end for the Cold Storage Building, that somewhat endearing relic perched to the side of the Inner Belt Bridge that has served as massive advertising space and little else, which must come down for the new Inner Belt Bridge.

ODOT says it will likely take all summer to raze the structure completely. In the meantime, chunks of concrete and steel will be stripped away in a slow procession. In a bizarre way, we're looking forward to admiring the methodical deconstruction of one of Cleveland's most recognizable and eyesore-y buildings.
