A man who admitted to cops that he had been drinking drove his SUV over a sidewalk, up a set of steps, and into the front of Lorain City Hall last night at 10:38 p.m.

37-year-old Steve Wooten, you may have guessed, did not avoid detection, especially since, yes, the Lorain police headquarters are located at City Hall. The off-duty taxi driver might want to rethink his profession.

According to the Morning Journal
, Wooten told cops he doesn't remember the accident or where he was going when he lost control of his vehicle. No charges have been filed, but cops are waiting on alcohol and drug results from a blood test.
