Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's Cleveland and it snows and it's cold and it's windy, we get that. We're prepared for that. Hell, we enjoy most of it.

But the latest Accuweather.com forecast for Winter 2011-2012, and you know those guys are never wrong, calls for a brutal slog of bitterness in the Great Lakes region. Head's up, Cleveland. (We love how the map calls the predictions of death by snow "highlights.")

Hands down, AccuWeather.com's long-range experts agree that the Midwest and Great Lakes region will be dealt the worst of winter this year.

Bitterly cold blasts of arctic air are expected to invade the northern Plains, Midwest and Great Lakes December through January, while snowfall averages above normal. "A couple of heavy hitters are possible [during this time]," Pastelok said in relation to the snow.

Bundle up. Or move to Florida. Or stay inside. Whatever. Be prepared. You have ample warning. We don't want to hear about it come January.

This concludes our Dick Goddard moment of the day.
