A resident told police he was awakened when Parker sat a tea cup and kettle on his bedroom nightstand. The resident, 57, and his mother, 84, told police they had never before seen Parker.

Well, there are certainly worse ways to be awoken by a home intruder. A pot of tea sounds nice, except for that whole stranger in your house thing.

Cops say the intruder claimed he was homeless and the house used to belong to his grandfather. He apparently entered through a window in the basement while the man and his mother slept. The intruder, Paul Parker, had made himself at home — brewing a pot of coffee, eating three bananas, lighting candles, and smoking cigarettes.

He was arrested and taken to Summit County jail, according to the ABJ.
