Santa Got Drunk for Christmas

A little reminder from the Lakewood police blotters on Patch that not even Saint Nick himself is immune to the tempting tidings of liquor during the workday.

Here's to Santa's designated driver, a hero who tackled no small feat in navigating the sled and reindeer (aka: the pick-up truck) while Mr. Claus took a nip. And blame, if there is any, goes to the parents who thought it'd be a good idea to leave Santa a 40 oz. of King Cobra instead of milk and cookies.

Ho, ho, hurl

Someone called the Lakewood Police Department just after 12 a.m. Dec. 25 to report a man dressed as Santa Claus vomiting out the door of a pick-up truck in the 2100 block of Richland Avenue. Police reported Santa was “feeling under the weather, and he was returned home to Mrs. Claus."
