Cleveland burlesque queen Bella Sin featured in new book

Los Angeles-based photographer Brian C. Janes’ fascination with the new burlesque movement took him across the country as he interviewed and photographed performers for his book It’s All That Glitters. A stop in Cleveland connected him with local burlesque performer/promoter Bella Sin, who has run La Femme Mystique troupe for eight years. A prime mover behind the region’s burgeoning burlesque scene, she launched first Ohio Burlesque Festival last year (the second will be August 4 at the Beachland Ballroom) and has extensively researched and written about the history of burlesque in Cleveland. She’s one of 104 colorful, sexy performers featured in the hardcover coffeetable book, which will be published in April by Schiffer Books. You can pre-order it now through their website.
