Afternoon Brew: Not a UFO, Zack Reed Honors Trayvon Martin, CLE Tourism Groups Pumped for Casino, and a Dumb Criminal

Posted By on Tue, Mar 27, 2012 at 4:26 PM

Good afternoon, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read if you're not already at the Nauti Mermaid for happy hour.

— NewsNet5 broke the story this morning of a Lorain County girl who might have caught a UFO on camera, except that it was very clearly an inflatable, remote-controlled shark. Thankfully, they were reasonable enough to only involve one police station and Homeland Security to get it cleared up. (NewsNet5)

— Zack Reed threw his support behind the hoodie solidarity protest for murdered Florida teen Travyon Martin during last night's council meeting. (Fox 8)

— We're close enough to the May opening of the casino that Cleveland tourism groups are now at full mast in their excitement. You could safely hang a slot machine from their booster boners right now. (AP)

— A repeat offender in Sandusky. No, we can't go a day without a Sandusky story. We love 'em too much. (Sandusky Register)
