A Perfect Pride

Fred Phelps must be wrong, because the weather was perfect for the 24th annual Cleveland Pride Parade and Festival at Voinovich Park Saturday. Costumed “angels” spread their wings to hide the haters near the Free Stamp from view, and love was in the air everywhere, as people of every age, color and gender and combinations thereof strolled the park hand in hand, enjoyed food, music and drag queen performances, browsed booths sponsored by churches, nonprofits, businesses and political groups, and basked in the fresh breezes blowing off the lake.
