Afternoon Brew: Pep Rally Photo Causes Tizzy, McGinty Stepping In, West Nile Takes Another, and Jim Brown Still Thinks He's Relevant

Good afternoon, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read while you pepper Mark Shapiro with inappropriate questions on Twitter.

— Some Perry High School kids dressed like cheerleaders and one even held a baby doll (insinuating the cheerleaders were pregnant, get it?) at a pep rally, and it was all aimed at Massillon kids. A photo was taken. Parents freaked out. A kid was suspended. Can't we all just sing the alma mater? No, seriously, that's what one mom said. (WKYC)

— Cleveland.com and Jim Brown both think that Jim Brown's thoughts are important. (Cleveland.com)

— A third Ohioan has died from West Nile. Lesson: wear sweatpants everywhere. (AP)

— Tim McGinty will serve as acting prosecutor until the elections. (Cleveland.com)
