Cleveland Indians Promotions Part 1: GIVEAWAYS

Posted By on Wed, Apr 10, 2013 at 11:07 AM

Now that we've suffered through opening day, it seemed prudent to mention that there are still reasons to head down to the ballpark this year. If Ubaldo Jimenez isn’t enough to get you there, maybe these promotions are:

This year, with few exceptions, the dollar dog nights are on every Friday home game. Even though this year Progressive Field has reduced concession prices — and good on them for coming to their senses — the dollar dog remains the ultimate bang for your (literal) buck.
FRI 4/12 vs. Chicago White Sox
FRI 5/3 vs Minnesota Twins
FRI 5/17 vs. Seattle Mariners
FRI 5/31 vs. Tampa Bay Rays
FRI 6/14 vs. Washington Nationals
FRI 6/21 vs. Minnesota Twins
FRI 7/5 vs. Detroit Tigers
FRI 7/12 vs. Kansas City Royals
FRI 7/26 vs. Texas Rangers
WED 7/31 vs. Chicago White Sox
THU 8/8 vs. Detroit Tigers
FRI 8/23 vs. Minnesota Twins
FRI 9/6 vs. New York Mets
TUE 9/10 vs. Kansas City Royals
FRI 9/20 vs. Houston Astros

They’re neither as classy nor as sturdy as the $80 jerseys you can buy in the team shop, but the lightweight fabric is ideal for summer days and those days when you forgot to do laundry. Also, they’re much less irritating when you spill beer or squirt stadium mustard on them. Down the road, once these guys are traded or sold, they’ll become primo painting shirts.
SAT 6/15 vs. Washington Nationals — JASON KIPNIS
SAT 7/27 vs. Texas Rangers — MICHAEL BRANTLEY
SAT 8/24 vs. Minnesota Twins — NICK SWISHER
SAT 9/7 vs. New York Mets — MICHAEL BOURN

Because vintage is so in right now.
SAT 5/4 vs. Minnesota Twins — 1974-77 Alternate Jersey T-Shirt (Red)
WED 5/29 vs. Cincinnati Reds — 1917-18 Road Jersey T-Shirt
SAT 7/13 vs. Kansas City Royals — 1902 Replica Road Jersey T-Shirt (Navy blue)
MON 9/2 vs. Baltimore Orioles — 1973-78 Primary Logo T-Shirt

Bobble heads take the cake this year for collectible potential: two Indians’ legends immortalized for your mantle or trophy case.
SAT 6/1 vs. Tampa Bay Rays — Albert Belle
MON 7/8 vs. Detroit Tigers — Omar Vizquel
