WOIO's Scott Taylor spread the words via Twitter initially - and allegedly - written by Ariel Castro in 2004.

To begin, Castro sums up his mentality at the time as such: "I am a sexual predator. I need help."

Sources report that the note may also contain suicidal leanings. Though no official comment has been made regarding Castro's note, it's become clear that - at least at the time of writing the letter - staunchly refused to accept blame for the crime.
