In the wake of the release of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, the Beachland
Ballroom has added a last-minute English Beat concert. The old school ska group known for hits such as “Save it for Later” and “Mirror in the Bathroom” performs tonight at 8 and all proceeds will benefit the Cleveland Courage Fund. “Cleveland reminds me of my home town of Birmingham in UK, a tough city with a big heart, and I have many friends there,” says the band’s frontman Dave Wakeling in a press release. “Like everyone else, we were stunned by the news, and it is great that as we are in the neighborhood, we can add our support to the Survivors and to the shocked city. We can get through anything, if we stick together." Tickets to the show are $10 and reps from the Cleveland Courage Fun will be on hand to talk about their organization and its goal of raising money to help the rescued women with medical expenses.
