Cleveland's 87.7 Debuts New Latin Sound

Posted By on Wed, Jan 1, 2014 at 9:07 PM

If you haven't yet tuned in to 87.7 this year, you may not have realized that Cleveland's rock radio station has, in fact, switched to Latin programming.

As of 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, the plug was pulled on the alt-rock station "Cleveland's Sound," giving way to the Spanish-based station "La Mega 87.7, Latino and Proud."

Below is a scoped aircheck of 87.7's new sound, courtesy of the fine folks at Ohio Media Watch.

You can also head on over to Ohio Media Watch's site to hear a recording of the on-air transition, including the last few minutes of rock music on Cleveland's Sound.
