10 Things Going on in Cleveland This Weekend (January 17-19)

Posted By on Fri, Jan 17, 2014 at 11:45 AM

Get ready for the weekend, Cleveland. There are tons of high energy events to help you power through the mid-January slump.
DJ Rihannon will be spinning tunes Friday night at Barley House. As the self-proclaimed "world's hottest female DJ," her tracks are just as hot as she is. Smokey Bones is having a party in honor of the New Year's resolutions that we've all already forgotten. The Ditch Your Resolution Day Party is an all day affair, with the beer flowing and wings and burgers in steady supply.

If you're in the mood for a more laid back party, head over to the Cuyahoga Valley on Saturday for the Ales on Rails scenic tour. Take in the beauty of the snowy landscape while sampling a selection of beers. James Adomian is performing at the Grog Shop. His set is filled with controversial views on current events, and he's really good at impressions.

Check out the screening of King: A Filmed Record... Montgomery to Memphis at the Cinematheque this Sunday in honor of Martin Luther King. For some lighter, family friendly entertainment, Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players are performing at the Grog Shop.

Have fun this weekend, Cleveland, and don't let the winter blues get you down.
