For years, chefs have been tossing thick cuts of bacon onto burgers, making the topping one of the most popular (and tasty) add ons in the country.

More recently, the fine folks from Food and Wine magazine scoured the U.S. for the best bacon burgers they could find (those lucky bastards) and compiled a list of the 19 Best Bacon Burgers in the nation.

Number three on that list? Michael Symon's BSpot— behind New York City's Peter Luger (no. 1) and Detroit's Slows BBQ (no. 2).

Here's what F & W had to say about the joint:

Michael Symon, F&W Best New Chef 1998, specializes in “meat on meat” burgers at his Ohio-based chain B-Spot. Named after his Cleveland flagship, the Lola Burger could almost double as a breakfast sandwich, since it’s piled with bacon and a fried egg (in addition to pickled red onions, cheddar cheese and mayo).

We can't say we disagree, and, in fact, neither can you, dear readers, who recently voted BSpot Best Burgers and Fries in Cleveland.
