Earlier this week, four fatal beatings took place in four separate homes, puzzling authorities and shaking up the small town of Bucyrus, about 65 miles north of Columbus.

Police have arrested a suspect, though as of yet no charges have been filed. The AP reported that the suspect has provided some details to investigators, though nothing has been released publicly. Charges are due soon, authorities have hinted. Here's more from the report:
"One (slaying) can be complicated, four is overwhelming," [Crawford County Sheriff Scott] Kent said.

Found dead Monday were Billy Jack Chatman, 55, and Freelin Hensley, 67, according to Crawford County Coroner Dr. Michael Johnson. On Tuesday, the body of 65-year-old Darrell Lewis was found in his apartment. Johnson said the identity of the fourth victim, found in an apartment in the same complex Tuesday, hasn't been confirmed.
And the kicker:
Some of the residents of the town of 12,000 said they were worried about their safety in a place that is unaccustomed to violent crime but battling a heroin epidemic.
The latest from the Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum (follow them for ongoing updates) has it that the four victims were longtime friends, seemingly confirming investigators' suspicions that the beatings were related.
