Final Season for "Hot in Cleveland," says TV Land

Posted By on Wed, Nov 19, 2014 at 10:34 AM

TV Land has announced that the current (sixth) season of "Hot in Cleveland" will be its last. And though it's not like Betty White's old-school sitcom ever became a fan-favorite here in the city for which it's named, the female ensemble show also starring Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick has averaged more than two million viewers over its run.

PD TV critic Mark Dawidziak speculated that an aging audience might be the cause of the abrupt cancellation, but the cable network gave no official explanation. The 24-episode #FarewellSeason will wrap up sometime this spring.

Said TV Land President Larry W. Jones: "The passion and talent [the creative] brought to the set each and every week over the past five years has put TV Land on the map as a network dedicated to quality original programming. We will continue to celebrate the show and are looking forward to a fantastic series finale."
