6th Annual Crafty Mart in Akron Expands to Three Locations

Posted By on Tue, Nov 25, 2014 at 10:23 AM

After five years at Musica in Akron, this year’s Crafty Mart holiday market is expanding across the city. The two-day event — November 29 & 30 — will be sprawled out over three locations throughout the Rubber City, and Akron is even providing free parking at the main branch of the public library with trolley rides between locations (Musica, the Akron Art Museum, and Summit Artspace).

The 6th Annual Crafty Mart features over 100 local artists and makers selling an eclectic variety of handmade gifts for your holiday shopping. The Mighty Soul Night will be spinning records at all three venues to keep your holiday spirits high.

Again, we implore you, skip the usual Black Friday madness at the big box stores and shop local instead.

In the DIY spirit of the event, visitors will have opportunities to make a holiday gift for a loved one. Some of the workshops are free, but some require a small fee. Visit their website for more info and to register for workshops. As usual, the rest of Crafty Mart is free and open to the public.
