Reminder: Traffic in Downtown Cleveland Will Be Terrible on Friday

Posted By on Wed, Apr 8, 2015 at 9:30 AM

  • The roads will not look like this on Friday.

If you are planning to drive in to downtown Cleveland on Friday, don't. At least, not if you can help it.

With the Progressive Field gates slated to open at 2 p.m for the home opener., first pitch planned for 4:10 p.m., and the Cavs vs. Celtics match scheduled for 7:30 p.m., downtown Cleveland will be nothing short of bumper-to-bumper cluster f%$! all day long.

Parking, too, will be pretty much non-existent, unless you're willing to dig deep into your pockets or barter your first born child.

Fox 8 offers the complete list of no-parking zones:

East 9th Street – Euclid Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
Huron Road – Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue
Prospect Avenue – Ontario Street to East 14th Street
Erie Court – East 9th Street to East 14th Street
Sumner Court – East 9th Street to East 14th Street
East 4th Street – Huron Road to Prospect Avenue
East 2nd Street – High Street to Prospect Avenue
Bolivar Road – East 9th St to East 7th Street
East 6th Street – Prospect Avenue to Eagle Avenue

Our suggestion? Ditch the car and employ some of the city's alternative modes of transportation if you 're planning to head downtown.
