The fine folks of Larchmere Boulevard on Cleveland's eastside are a creative bunch. The street — lined with art galleries, antique stores, clothiers and more — is anchored on the calendar by several beloved events.

This weekend, the business owners have arranged for the first-ever Appraisal and Advice Day. Think "Antiques Road Show," and then some. Marc Goodman, owner of Marc Goodman's Antique Mall, says Larchmere hosted an Appraisal Day about 10 years ago, but the advice portion of the event is a new direction.

"A beauty salon is not going to appraise your hair, but they can give you advice," he says.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and includes more than a dozen businesses on Larchmere (visit larchmere.com for the full list). And don’t forget to bring all those treasures you’d like to learn more about: antiques, vintage clothing, books, fine art and more.
