This Wednesday, the Music Box Supper Club, which opened in the Flats last summer, will unveil its new first-floor restaurant. Dubbed the Rusty Anchor, the riverside eatery will specialize in seafood, steaks and chops.

In addition to the river and city views, diners will enjoy an extensive menu that while heavy on fish and seafood, features a sizeable selection of steaks and chops. Appetizers, priced $9 to $16, range from oysters on the half shell, shrimp tempura and lobster-stuffed pierogis to a ceviche trio with tuna, snapper and scallop.

The lakes and seas are well represented, with straightforward preparations of walleye, mahi mahi, salmon, yellowfin tuna, Maine lobster and sea scallops. Meat-based entrees range from a 17-dollar grilled pork chop to 40-buck filet.

Dine on any Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before May 10 and take 20 percent off your bill, booze and tip excluded.

Rusty Anchor’s executive chef Dennis Devies spent the last nine years as executive sous chef at Brookside Country Club in Canton.

The reason for the rebranding is multifaceted, says management.

“We decided to move forward with the re-branding because we want to be able to offer our customers a 5-star dining experience with unbeatable riverfront and cityscape views,” explains Brooke Bogdan, Marketing Coordinator. “We wanted to be sure we were utilizing everything our venue and employees had to offer, which includes our celebrity chef Dennis Devries, and putting his talents to use.”

The upstairs concert hall will still offer its separate club menu.

Rusty Anchor at the Music Box will be open 7 days a week with happy hour from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. every day, and dining beginning at 5 p.m.
