Cleveland Play House snagged a prestigious honor last week as well as a $25,000 grant when it was named a 2015 Regional Theater Tony Award recipient by the Tony Awards Administrative Committee.

An offshoot of the estimated Tony Award, given annually for live performance achievements on Broadway, the regional Tony honors theater companies outside of New York City and organizations typically ineligible for Broadway-centric awards.

"Obviously, this is absolutely thrilling – it's the highest honor that a regional theater can achieve," Play House artistic director Laura Kepley told Cleveland.com last week. "We are so proud to bring this honor to Cleveland. I think it's just another feather in Cleveland's cap right now – we're on such a roll."

The award will be presented to Cleveland Play House at the 2015 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 7, at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Congrats, CPH!
