Tickets Still Available for Celebrity Chef-Studded Five Star Sensation Fundraiser

Posted By on Wed, Jun 17, 2015 at 1:33 PM

With just 10 days to go before the biggest foodie fundraiser on the circuit – Five Star Sensation – a fresh batch of tickets has just been released, according to Alicia Reale, Media Relations representative for University Hospitals. Those who act fast still can secure access to a celebrity chef-studded event for a great cause.

Since its inception in 1987, Five Star Sensation has raised more than $16 million for University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. The biennial event also has proved to be one of the toughest tickets around, with sell-out crowds each and every year. If you’ve never had the pleasure to attend, 2015 would be a good year to start a new tradition. That’s because this is the year longstanding Honorary Chair Wolfgang Puck cedes the reins to Cleveland’s Michael Symon, co-host of ABC’s “The Chew” and owner of Lola and Lolita in Cleveland, Roast in Detroit and several locations of B Spot Burgers throughout the Midwest.

“I am thrilled to participate in this culinary extravaganza in my hometown benefiting the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center,” Symon says. “It raises vital funds for such an important cause in our community, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve as Host Chef of this truly sensational evening.”

The event, to be held June 27 at Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, features 85 chefs and vintners. In addition to Symon, the heavy hitters include both local and national culinary talent.

On the roster are Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto, NYC), Richard Reddington (Redd, Yountville), Ken Oringer (Clio, Boston) Traci Des Jardins (Jardinière, San Francisco), Marc Forgione (Marc Forgione, NYC), Dean Fearing (Fearing’s Restaurant, Dallas), Paul Kahan (Blackbird, Chicago), Marc Vetri (Vetri, Philadelphia), Doug Katz (Fire), Paul Minnillo and Matthew Mytro (Flour) Jonathon Sawyer (Greenhouse Tavern), Karen Small (Flying Fig), Rocco Whalen (Fahrenheit), Britt-Marie Culey (Coquette Patisserie) and Eric Williams (Momocho), just to name a few.

Individual tickets are available at $1,500, $1,000, $600 and a limited number at $300. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 216-844-0448 or click here
