One of Northeast Ohio’s hardest working bands, Carlos Jones & The P.L.U.S. Band (aka The Peace, Love, Unity Syndicate) keep a busy schedule during the summer months when they play outdoor festivals and special events. The reggae group has just announced it’ll perform at an Expressions of Diversity benefit for adults with autism, developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis. The event takes place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 16 at West Park Station. The group has a two-hour performance planned and will play original material as well as covers of Bob Marley tunes.

There will also be artwork, jewelry and crafts made by individuals with disabilities as well as local artists; the benefit will also showcase the opening of Express Yourself, a store that will feature jewelry, artwork and more created by those with disabilities at the center, as well as local community artists. Some of the items donated by the artists will be raffled off at the event. Tickets are $20.
