Here's the Full RTA Pepper Spray Incident Video

Posted By on Fri, Sep 18, 2015 at 10:11 AM

The above represents the results of an RTA internal investigation into the pepper spray incident in July.  GCRTA Officer Robert Schwab sprayed a canister of pepper spray into a crowd of people who were angered by the detainment of an intoxicated 14-year-old.

The crowd was largely made up of attendees at that weekend's Movement for Black Lives Convening at Cleveland State University. They began asking for answers when they saw the boy handcuffed at the Health Line stop at Euclid and E. 24th. Officers maintained that they were following protocol and were trying to keep the boy safe.

The above raw video shows the GCRTA officer interaction with the 14-year-old on the train, and the escalating tension when the crowd grows in size.
