One of Cleveland's favorite chefs is expanding — this time to Texas. Michael Symon will be planting his food flag in Austin, when Symon's Burger Joint opens up as part of an exciting new project.

Come November, Symon’s burger shop will open in a “combination clothing store and entertainment complex” with a 1,000-seat music venue, bar and another restaurant – confirmed by a chef and director of Michael Symon Restaurants to Cleveland.com. The clothing store in question is an Urban Outfitters, meaning patrons can snatch a burger and an overpriced sweater all in one place.

Why Texas and the hipster thread warehouse, you ask? The burger master told Austin’s Eater that the city is a food town with a young, up-and-coming dining scene. Plus, the other eatery opening in the complex happens to be owned by Symon's good pal Marc Vetri.

The concept is slightly different from Symon's well-known B Spot empire, which has locations in Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, and Indianapolis, hence the name tweak. This operation will feature a walk-up window and all outdoor seating. To handle the increased crowds, the burgers will be slightly thinner than at B Spot, but will be the exact same quality of beef.

Symon also just released another cookbook today, with Scene's very own dining editor, Douglas Trattner. Check it out here.
