Award-winning, pot-stirring and laughter-inducing, Bill Maher is set to return to Cleveland on June 4 with a stand-up performance at Playhouse Square. Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the comedian's one-night show.

As the host of two political talk shows, the author of five best-selling books and the documentarian behind 2008's Religulous, the 59-year-old comic has been making his rounds for 35 years. In that time, he's been nominated for 34 Emmys for his live stand-up specials and talks shows, though the controversial comedian hasn't been popular with everyone.

Maher's first foray into late night television, Politically Incorrect, ran from 1993 until 2002, when it was canceled after the quick-witted and strong-willed comic referred to George W. Bush as "cowardly." Whoops. However, just a year after the remarks, HBO picked him up for Real Time with Bill Maher. The ongoing series blends comedy with serious political and social criticism.

During his time HBO, Maher has been called an extremist and a socialist, all while attracting 16 Emmy nominations for Real Time alone. He summed up his response to those who called his brand of humor too liberal with the title of his 2010 comedy tour, "But I'm Not Wrong."

Tickets to his Cleveland show go on sale at 11 a.m. Wednesday with prices ranging from $25 to $95. For more information and to purchase tickets, head over to
