Video: Heroin Overdose in Fairview Park McDonald's Pretty Much Shows How Bad the Heroin Epidemic Is In Northeast Ohio

Posted By on Mon, Apr 11, 2016 at 12:53 PM

If you're wondering how bad the heroin epidemic is, the Fairview Park police have some evidence that'll pretty much answer your question.

The department released a video to NewsNet5 showing what happened shortly before an overdose call at a local McDonald's. A man and woman are seen snorting something. He leaves, becomes ill, and then the woman gives him Narcan—the antidote for heroin overdoses. (Thankfully she had the antidote.)

The pair, James Gaspar and Lauren Thompson, were later arrested for the incident.
