Cleveland's Porn Traffic Plummeted During Game 7 of the Finals

Posted By on Tue, Jun 21, 2016 at 9:04 AM

The Nielsen numbers for Game 7 of the NBA finals were eye-popping: The 15.7 rating (nearly 30.8  million viewers) made it the most-watched NBA Finals game since Jordan and the Bulls took home the 1998 Finals. Locally, the game notched a 46.3 rating in the Cleveland metro area.

That's a lot of people.

There are other numbers to digest when it comes to viewership though, including data released by Pornhub. It turns out that Cleveland ending its 52-year championship drought took temporary precedence over porn. As Pornhub wrote in its insights explanation, "Why such a drastic drop? Fap time clearly gave way to clap time as people all over Cleveland tuned in to see the Cavaliers snag the first pro sports championship title the city has had in 52 years."

Good to see Cleveland bounced back strong around midnight as the game was over and took celebrating into its own hands.
