Organizers for the sixth annual Ohio Burlesque Festival have announced that this year’s event will revolve around the theme of “amplifying every voice.”

Some 60 performers will perform at the three-day festival at the Beachland Ballroom that will feature burlesque, vaudeville, sideshows and variety.

Performers from the United Kingdom, South America, Canada and the United States will participate. A portion of the proceeds will go to the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland.

The festival kicks off at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4. Hank E. Panky and the Doll Carousel perform; the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland's Ryan Zymler serves as the host. On Friday, Aug. 5, the festival continues with “a unique nouveau burlesque experience that is energetic and notably over the top.” Ken Schneck hosts; headliners include Red Herring, the Doll Carousel and Eileen Galvin. The Saturday Night Gala on August 6 will bring “elegance and grace laced with sass.” Headline acts include James & the Giant Pasty and Eliza DeLite. Standup comedian Bill Squire hosts.
