A few years back, singer-songwriter Diana Chittester moved to Cleveland from Pittsburgh and started playing open mic nights at places like the now-closed Winchester. She released her first EP in 2008 and followed that with 2012's In This Skin, which features local Cleveland blues musicians.

Now, she’s spearheading Traveling Troubadours, a new singer-songwriter series that will put three artists on stage so they can play songs and share stories about life on the road.

The series kicks off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Music Box Supper Club. For the showcase, Ohio-based singer-songwriter G.S. Harper and Buffalo-born singer-songwriter Grace Stumberg, whom Chittester has met while touring, will join her.

Tickets are $10 and available online at, or at the door on the day of the event.
