Spotted just before 11 a.m. on Euclid Avenue, beneath the marquee of the Connor Palace, was a crew of Cleveland's own Bob-Avakian Communists.

Assorted members of this crew, based out of the Cleveland Heights RevCom bookstore, are regular participants in Cleveland protests against police brutality. They also spearheaded the flag-burning demonstration during the RNC.

Today, they were protesting the election itself, and the system it represents.

"Who's our leader? Bob Avakian! Who's our leader? Bob Avakian!" chanted the marching blackshirts, wielding revolutionary signage and distributing literature encouraging the masses not to vote.

To vote is to partake in an oppressive system that needs to be overthrown, reads the newest (11/2/2016) treatise by Carl Dix with the ungainly title, "Why I Am Not Voting In This Election, Why You Shouldn't Either...But Why I Will Defend the Right Of Black And Other Oppressed People to Vote."

Said one man, to a Playhouse Square employee, having looked over the Dix sheet he'd been handed: "This don't make no sense."
