A nun was carjacked in the Collinwood neighborhood yesterday.

The 71-year-old member of the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland had arrived home from the store and was taking out bags from her 2004 Honda Civic, when a man appeared by her side to ask the time, police reports said.

After the nun told him "4:35 p.m.," the man revealed a handgun and said he was stealing her car (which is owned by the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland).

When the woman, who is also a teacher, asked if she could at least grab her "church stuff" — including athletic equipment, $300 worth of school supplies and St. Aloysius School and Church keys — the robber allegedly said, "I ain't no church," before getting in the car and speeding off.

Mary Moran, an Ursuline spokeswoman, told Cleveland.com that the robbed nun is shaken but unharmed.

"It's sad someone would do this to someone who's given so much to our community over the years," Moran then said. "We're continuing to pray for her safety and the safety of everyone in our country."

No arrests have yet been made in the case.
