An annual event that features performances by a wide range of local acts, this year’s Heights Music Hop starts today in Coventry Village and continues tomorrow in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood and on Saturday in the Cedar Lee area.

The event will take place in more than 30 venues, and organizers anticipate some 10,000 people will attend the concerts.

Tonight’s highlights include the eclectic soul/blues/electronic act Mourning [A] BLKstar, which performs at 8 at the Conventry Coutyard, the acoustic funk/groove act Big Ship, which performs at 9 p.m. at Vintage Apparel: Made in Cleveland, and garage rock heroes Teddy Boys, who perform at 11 p.m. at the Grog Shop.

Tomorrow, Classical Revolution Cleveland performs at 8 p.m. at Appletree Books and the indie folk act Oldboy plays at 10:30 p.m. at the Fairmount. On Saturday, local DJ Jason Patrick Meyers hosts a local music showcase at 7 p.m. at the CLE Urban Winery, and the Grog Shop will present a silent disco at 10 p.m. at a vacant lot at Lee and Meadowbrook.

Performances will take place in conventional venues such as the Grog Shop and unconventional places like the Washington & Lee Auto Service station. Check the website for a complete schedule.
