Cavs Guard Isaiah Thomas Featured in New Kids Foot Locker Video

Posted By on Thu, Dec 7, 2017 at 1:05 PM

[image-1]Cavs guard Isaiah Thomas recently visited Campbell's Sweets Factory in Ohio City and the Greater Cleveland Aquarium as part of a new Kids Foot Locker video series that follows NBA players who were recently traded to new teams to help show new-to-town young fans around their respective cities.

The campaign kicked off today with the release of the video featuring Thomas, who shows 12-year-old London Arrington, a transplant from Los Angeles, around Cleveland. Thomas welcomes London to Cleveland with a new pair of Nike kicks and a bag of Kids Foot Locker swag.

"Since moving from Boston, I've been really focused on the current NBA season and getting to know the great city of Cleveland and our incredible fans," says Thomas in a press release announcing the video’s release. "The people of Cleveland have been so welcoming to me, so I jumped at the opportunity to team up with Kids Foot Locker to give a similarly warm welcome to a kid who is new like me, as she gets familiarized with the city."

Kids Foot Locker will release additional videos beginning on Dec. 14. Jimmy Butler will explore his new hometown of Minneapolis, and D'Angelo Russell, the former Ohio State guard who now plays for the Brooklyn Nets, will show a youngster around Brooklyn, New York.

"We are excited to team up with Isaiah, Jimmy and D'Angelo because we know that being the 'new kid in town' can be intimidating – even if you are a top NBA player," says Patrick Walsh, vice president of marketing for Kids Foot Locker. "[We want] kids everywhere [to] feel confident in any new situation they may face."
